THE ARTIST

With over 19 years of experience photographing people (which is basically my entire adult life), to say that I live and breathe photography would be an understatement. I cannot imagine doing anything else. It's who I am and my true passion in life.

All my life I’ve loved taking photographs. And I thank my parents for giving me my first camera as a kid and letting me take roll after roll of film. Through this creative freedom I developed such a love for the art of photography in its entirety. Portraits, landscapes, candids, they all excite me. Each is a way of capturing a moment, a memory, a look that will never happen again. This is the reason I love photography so much. It gives one the ability to share moments in time at any moment in time. Photographs are timeless, vivid representations of memories.

I would love to share my love of photography with you by capturing your life’s special moments. Our lives are ever changing and the people in them are growing and changing everyday. Your wedding is a special event in your life and you don’t want to forget all the details and excitement that surrounded the day. Your children seems to grow over night and getting those candid moments and funny faces on film are the only way to ensure your memories of those early days don’t fade. Family portraits are also a great way to preserve the ever changing stages and share your pride as a family.

For whatever occasion or moment in your life, I’d like to help capture it for you through photography. It is my pleasure to be behind the camera lens as your life unfolds.

I BELIEVE

We are all beautiful in our own way. And the way we connect with others is even more beautiful. My passion is capturing the connection we have with our world and the people most important to us.

Wedding Photographers

We are on Instagram
Even as a photographer… taking your own photos is HARD.
Tripod. Timer. Hide the remote. Adjust. Repeat. Question life choices. 😅

So yeah—hire the photographer.

Meanwhile, I’m over here romanticizing the last days in this studio while I still can 🤍
Super quick walk through of the studio. Almost everything is for sale so if you see something you like please reach out and/or come see me Sunday to take it home with you!
After nearly nine years in my studio at the Cherry Building, this chapter will be coming to a close at the end of March.

Studio spaces have been part of my photography journey for quite a while now. I photographed my first wedding in 2004 and started with a small studio setup in the basement of my home. In 2009 I moved into my first studio space in the Guaranty Bank Building, about 400 square feet. A few years later I upgraded to a slightly larger space in the same building. Then in 2017 I moved into what truly felt like my dream studio here in Suite 127 at the Cherry Building.

This space has held so many memories.
Newborns becoming toddlers.
Seniors becoming adults.
Families growing year after year.
Women stepping in front of my camera and seeing themselves in a whole new way.

While this chapter is ending a little sooner than I expected, Amanda Dee Photography is absolutely not going anywhere.

I will continue photographing weddings, families, seniors, headshots, and boudoir, just in new spaces and new ways. After more than 20 years behind the camera, I have learned that sometimes the unexpected changes end up opening the door to the next beautiful season.

To everyone who has stepped through these studio doors over the years, thank you for trusting me with your moments and memories. This space meant a lot to me, and it always will.

More to come soon 🤍

The women I photograph remind me every single day what strength actually looks like.

It looks like motherhood and exhaustion and deep love.
It looks like stepping into the spotlight on your wedding day.
It looks like senior-year confidence and quiet nerves.
It looks like starting over, growing, healing, becoming.

After more than two decades behind the lens, one thing I know for sure - women are endlessly resilient, wildly layered, and always worth documenting.

Honored to witness it. Every time.

Happy International Women’s Day 🤍
When the sun goes down, most people pack up.

I start creating.

This is Celebration Farm’s amphitheater after dark — one light placed intentionally behind them, arches glowing, and a couple completely wrapped up in their first quiet moment as newlyweds.

Beautiful venues are a gift.
Knowing how to light them at every hour? That’s experience.

Golden hour is lovely.
But this? This is where the magic lives.
