Hey guys! 👋 It’s been a minute since I introduced myself, so let’s fix that. I’m Amanda Dee, the face behind the lens at Amanda Dee Photography!
I’m based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a beautiful studio in the New Bohemia District (seriously, it’s a dream space!), but you’ll often find me traveling all around Eastern Iowa for weddings, portraits, and all the moments in between.
I’ve been a photographer for 20 years (I know… how?!), ever since I shot my first wedding at 22 and fell in love with storytelling through images. Over the years, I’ve captured everything from weddings and seniors to newborns, families, boudoir, and even births. It’s been an incredible journey watching people’s stories unfold — and getting to be the one to document them.
What keeps me inspired after all these years? The connections. I truly believe there’s something magical about freezing real, human emotion in an artful way — giving people something beautiful to hold onto and look back on for years to come. 💝

Watching families grow and capturing their most special moments is such a joy, and this session truly filled my heart! I photographed big brother as a newborn and one year old, and now I’ve had the honor of photographing him again – this time as a playful, silly, and oh-so-sweet big brother to his brand-new baby brother. 💙
For this session, I leaned into what I’ve been focusing more on as a photographer lately – creating newborn images that feel a little more relaxed, natural, and true to life.
